Interview with Andreas Riedler, Sales Manager at SIP Germany.

Mr Riedler, you have been working for SIP since autumn – what are your upcoming assignments?

On the one side, I help existing SIP dealers, for example in the area of sales planning, but on the other side, we want to grow in Germany and increase the presence and brand awareness of SIP on the German market. The expansion of the dealer network plays an important role in this. We are focusing on strong grassland-growing regions. In my new position, I will also be responsible for marketing in the Germany; our presence at fairs and regional exhibitions also plays an important role in this.

What does the word SIP stand for?

SIP has a distinct specialization in grassland harvesting technology and has decades of experience in this field. This is the basis for SIP’s continuous technical development, which is of high value to farmers and contractors, for example in the form of excellent forage quality and high performance.

SIP is distinguished by a high degree of vertical integration – only a few subcontracted components are used in the factory in Šempeter, Slovenia. This ensures a high standard of quality and reduces waiting times for customers, as there are almost no problems with supply chains.

What innovations can you present at the moment?

In November, at SIMA in Paris, we presented our new pick-up rake, the AIR 900 T. With a working width of up to 9 metres and a capacity of 15 ha/h, this machine is particularly suitable for service providers and large farms.
In addition, we presented two brand new machines from our rotor rake series, the STAR 860|26 T for side swath and the STAR 930|28 T for central swath delivery. Both focus on high forage quality, performance, and ease of operation. They complete the relevant product range of side and central swath rakes upwards and represent a generation of new top models.
